Personal Injury
Please Note: The Huntly Memorial Hall Management Team is not responsible for the health and safety of attendees during any event.
This responsibility falls on the contact person for your event.
Users must complete a hazard check of the facility and note any issues or areas of concern.
All attendees must sign in as a health and safety requirement in the event of an earthquake or a fire.
Event of an Emergency
Please keep a list of present guests at your event to ensure their safety in the event of a fire, earthquake, or other emergency.
In the event of an emergency, please make sure to notify Huntly Memorial Hall Management. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your bond regardless of the type of emergency.
Bouncy Castles
If you intend to use an apparatus such as a bouncy castle you must comply with the following:
1. The equipment is safe and maintained.
2. On areas with a hard floor some form of crash mat is available.
3. An appropriate named adult to supervise and control.
4. A named person to be on site who has first aid experience.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness of the Hall
As the contact person for your booking, it is your responsibility to leave the hall in a clean and tidy condition once your event has finished.
Floors and surfaces are cleaned and ALL rubbish is removed from the hall.
You will be emailed a full Cleaning Checklist along with your booking confirmation and payment instructions.
IF THE HALL IS NOT CLEANED TO THE STANDARDS SET OUT BY THE CLEANING CHECKLIST THEN THE HUNTLY MEMORIAL HALL COMMITTEE HAS THE RIGHT TO DEDUCT A CLEANING FEE FROM YOUR BOND.
Kitchen Cleanliness
The Huntly Memorial Hall Committee have recently upgraded the kitchen with two new large ovens and cooktops.
This upgrade was funded by a WEL Energy Grand and the work of many volunteers.
We ask that you leave the ovens and cooktop areas in a clean and tidy condition. If there are any major spills, please notify Huntly Memorial Hall Management, these details are found in your confirmation email and at the bottom of this site.
THE HUNTLY MEMORIAL HALL COMMITTEE HAS THE RIGHT TO DEDUCT A CLEANING FEE FROM YOUR BOND FOR FAILURE TO NOTIFY MANAGEMENT OF ANY MAJOR SPILLS OR FAILURE TO LEAVE THE KITCHEN IN A CLEAN AND TIDY CONDITION.
Card Replacement
Access to The Huntly Memorial Hall will be given with a swipe card that is set for the day and time you have stated in this application.
Return your card back to Friendship House to ensure the full return of your bond.
IF YOUR CARD IS LOST OR MISPLACED A $25 FEE WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR BOND.
For an additional $75 you can have early entry for setting up your event.
Early Entry is available depending on whether the hall is free before your event. If the hall is not available, this option will secure your booking and you will be able to access the hall at least an hour after the previous booking has finished.
Payment & Securing your booking
Unfortunately, Huntly Memorial Hall is only available to accept bank transfers at this moment. Due to this payment method it can become hard to keep track of different peoples payments and bonds.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE THE REFERNCE NUMBER PROVIDED IN YOUR SUBMISSION EMAIL TO ENSURE YOUR BOOKING IS SECURED AND YOUR BOND CAN BE RETURNED.
Your booking is considered confirmed once the $250 bond at least has been received as a deposit.
Huntly Memorial Hall Management is not responsible for any consequences of you not including the reference number.
